Misal pav: Misal pav recipe is a famous recipe of Pune. Misal Pav Misal Pav is very easy to make. And Misal Pav is also very tasty to eat. Misal pav is made from matki and some spices. Misal Pav Everyone likes Misal Pav, from children to adults. And it is very tasty to eat like pav.

Ingredients to make Misal Pav:

  • 6 Pav
  • 1 cup matki
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • half teaspoon mustard
  • half teaspoon cumin
  • small piece ginger
  • 6 to 7 sprigs of leesoon
  • Curry leaves 5 to 7 leaves
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp misal masala
  • half a teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup green coriander
  • 1/2 tsp jaggery
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 green chilies
  • 2 cups farsan

Method of preparation:

Misal pav: First of all wash the pot 2 to 3 times with water and take it out in a utensil and soak it overnight in water. Now put a vessel on the gas and pour 1 glass of water into the soaked utensil. Now add turmeric powder, salt as per taste and boil the pot for 10 to 12 minutes or till the pot is cooked.

After cooking the matki, now put onion, tomato, green chili, ginger, and garlic in the jar of the mixer and grind it coarsely. Keep in mind that you have to grind onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, and green chili coarsely.

If you make a very fine paste, then the test will not come in the example. That’s why grind it coarsely.

Now put a pan on the gas and heat oil in the pan, after the oil becomes hot, put mustard in the oil. And let the mustard crackle. After that add cumin and curry leaves. And now add the ground onion, tomato, green chili, ginger, and garlic to the oil.

And mix it, now add Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, and misal masala to the onion, and tomato and mix it well.

Add a little water and keep in mind that after adding dry spices, do not forget to add water, because dry spices should be cooked by adding water to cook, due to which the taste of misal also comes, so the spices should be cooked well.

After the spices leave the oil, add the cooked matki. And mix it well. Now put water in a vessel on the second gas and boil the water. And put it in the pot and mix it well and let the mixture boil.

After it starts boiling, add some jaggery and finely chopped coriander leaves. And cook on medium gas for 5 minutes and now our mixture is ready. And it is very tasty to eat. Make sure you try this recipe.

Method of serving :

First of all, take a plate. And take 2 pavs on the plate and misal in a bowl now put farsan on the misal, take half a lemon, put finely chopped onion and finely chopped green coriander on the misal, and squeeze lemon juice.
