Dum Aloo Recipe
Dam aloo: Kashmiri Dum aloo is very easy to make and tasty to eat. It doesn’t take much time to make Dum Aloo. Everyone likes Dum Aloo very much, from young to old.
You can make Dum Aloo and give it to the guests coming home. Dum Aloo can also be given in children’s tiffin. Dum Aloo is prepared in a very short time.
In making Dum Aloo, Dum Aloo is prepared with some dry spices and some dried spices.
Ingredients to make Dum Aloo:
- 10 to 12 small size potatoes
- 2 cups curd
- 7 to 8 dried Kashmiri red chilies
- 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder
- half a teaspoon of turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp Kasturi Methi
- a small piece of cinnamon
- half a teaspoon of black pepper
- 4 to 5 cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon sofa
- half a teaspoon of whole coriander
- half teaspoon cumin
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2 pinches hig
Method of making Dum Aloo:
Dam Aloo: First put the potatoes in the cooker and add water and cover the cooker and keep it on the gas and after 1 whistle of the cooker, turn off the gas and let the cooker cool down, after the cooker cools down, take out the potatoes from the cooker. Take it out and take it on a plate and take out the peel from the potato and pierce the potato with a fork.
And now put a pan on the gas and put oil in the pan and let the oil heat up, put potatoes in the oil and fry till they become golden, as soon as the potatoes become golden, take them out in a bowl.
Heat water in a vessel and add hot water to dry Kashmiri red chilies, after 10 minutes put dry chilies in a mixer jar and add some water and grind it. Now put curd in a bowl and add powdered Kashmiri red chili powder and mix it.
Now put a small piece of cinnamon, half a teaspoon of black pepper, 4 to 5 cloves, half a teaspoon of fennel, half a teaspoon of whole coriander, and half a teaspoon of cumin in the pan and fry for 2 minutes, after roasting put them in a bowl and let the spices cool down.
Add more yogurt and mix it, now put the pan on the gas and put oil in the pan, and let the oil heat up, after the oil is hot, add 2 pinches of hing and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and spices, add yogurt and a little water. Add and mix.
Now let the curd come to a boil, after it comes to a boil, add fried potatoes and a little more fenugreek leaves, cook for 10 minutes, and after 10 minutes turn off the gas.
